Day 1 – On your
arrival you will be met by a representative of Enjoy Lanka Travels
at the airport and transferred you to a very special eco lodge –
Mud house, located at a remote area towards northern direction from
the airport. Mud house is a house made of clay and mud using traditional
village methods, cadjan, hay and other palm leaves for the roof. Lots
of tropical fruits and vegetables here at mud house will make your
body soothing. A real experience for lifetime. Evening you can go
for a nice walk in the meantime do some birdwatching.

Day 2 – After a
special and extraordinary breakfast you are free for jungle trekking.
Have your lunch at mud house, in the evening you are taken out to
see some ancient temples and some historical locations.

Day 3 – After breakfast
check out from the mud house and proceed to Dambulla towards eastern
direction.you can explore your own road by referring the map. Check
in at hotel Chaya Village – Habarana. Evening you have the opportunity
for an exciting and adventurous elephant ride or to have a complete
herbal body massage and many more according to your wish

Day 4 - After an early
breakfast at the hotel, proceed to “Sigiriya” with your
trainers on (training shoes) and explore the rock castle belongs to
5th century AD. Sigiriya is a unique combination of 5th century architecture,
urban planning, gardening, hydro technology and world famous fresco
arts. This is one of the world heritage sites and also the 8th wonder
of the world.
Evening you can relax or enjoy the facilities available at the hotel.

Day 5 – Have an
early breakfast and proceed towards your first wildlife park Wasgamuwa
and check in at hotel Willys Safari. Afternoon you can go for the
safari, by boarding the 4WD jeep, at Wasgamuwa national park.

Day 6 – After breakfast
check out and proceed towards Kandy. Take the Naula-Matale road so
that you can stop at a spice and herbal garden in Matale, which is
the spice capital of Sri Lanka. Kandy is the 2nd largest city also
the last kingdom of Sinhala kings. In the evening you can witness
a colourful pageant featuring drummers, dancers, acrobats and exciting
finale of firewalking.

Day 7 – After breakfast
do a city tour. The temple of the Tooth relic of Budda is one of the
most important places that you visit. Next you will be taken to Royal
botanic garden-Peradeniya with more than 100 endamic trees and more
than 5000 species of trees, plants and creepers together with very
rare varieties spread over 147 acres.

Day
8 - After breakfast proceed to Haputale via Nuwara Eliya, which
is towards the center of the country. The drive along the windy
roads is spectacular with misty mountains, lush green tea bushes
in large tea estates. A visit to a tea factory and see how the tea
powder is made out of leaves. You will see some beautiful waterfalls
while you travel through hill country. Nuwara Eliya is also known
as “little England” and the climate is cooler than other
areas.
In the evening you can go on a hike to see Lipton seat – an
Englishman Thomas Lipton’s famous meditation spot, situated
at a high mountain. A panoramic view over the mountains and valleys.

Day 9 - After an early
breakfast or preferably with packed breakfast proceed to “Horton
Plains” – Sri Lanka’s highest and most isolated
plateau with rare species of flora and founa. You can see the ‘Baker’s
falls” and “Worlds end” – a terrific escarpment
drops vertically for about 5000 ft. After a tired day of hiking you
can rest and relax at the hotel.

Day 10 – After
breakfast you will proceed to dry low lands leaving the hill country.
On your way you can visit some historical places. One of them is “Buduruwagala”,-
ancient rock sculptured large Budda images in a jungle area. Check
into “galapita” a complete but expensive eco hotel. You
are free to do bird watching, trekking, mountain biking here at Galapita.
In the afternoon get ready to enter the Yala national park –
the 2nd largest wildlife park in Sri Lanka having the largest population
of leopards in Sri Lanka. Also the largest density of leopards in
the world are in Yala. Also a variety of other animals including elephants
and a large variety of birds can be seen at Yala.

Day
11 - – After breakfast check out and set off towards “Sinharaja”-
the only “world heritage site” rain forest in Sri Lanka.
You can explore the beauty and mystery of Sinharaja , the only remaining
virgin tropical evergreen rain forest in Sri Lanka with a large
variety of birds, butterflies, reptiles, mammals and trees.

Day 12 – After
breakfast with packed lunch, set off early to explore the “Sinharaja”,
depending your fitness level you can take your own designated tracks
and explore the forest the whole day.

Day
13 - After breakfast proceed along the coastal road towards Hikkaduwa
en route visit the “blow hole” – to see the sea
water pops up like a fountain through a hole in the rocks at the
ocean. Traveling onwards you will reach Galle and visit the Dutch
fort – another world heritage site. Arrive at the beach hotel
Amaya Reef for dinner and overnight stay. |

Day
14 – After breakfast you have the option to go for an interesting
boat ride at Madu river. You will see a variety of animals, birds
and about 62 islands where you will get the opportunity to visit
a few. Some are specialized in cinnamon plantation and you can see
how they get quality cinnamon out of the tree. Also you can see
a rare type of black monkey, you will see the prawn traps and many
more. Afternoon relax at the beach.
