We, at Boulder Garden, are committed to protect and conserve our present and future environment, both internal and external, in our routine Activities, as an operator in the Eco Tourism industry in the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka.


The National Environmental Act No.47 of 1980 along with all regulations thereon will be complied with, in keeping with the Boulder Garden Vision and Mission.


We are conscious of our immediate physical and social neighborhood, and will protect the land, forest, wild life with the water resources and air, for the future, from any possible adverse effects of our solid, liquid or gaseous waste discharge. Action will be taken to continually improve the performance in energy efficiency and conservation, management of fresh water resources and waste water, minimization of waste, reuse and recycling, social and culture development and environmentally sensitive purchasing. The social and culture sensitivities of the neighboring communities will be respected while assisting them in environmental conservation.

Ulpotha

Ulpotha has been a pilgrimage site for thousands of years and remains an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Sri Lanka. Wapi

Wapi is a small eco-retreat overlooking the Yodakandiya reservoir in the rural village of Yodakandiya near Tissamaharama. Wapi, meaning irrigational tank is situated 3 kms inland from Tissamaharama and can be accessed from the south coast or coming from the hill country via Wellawaya.

The Bungalow is set at the edge of the ancient Yodakandiya reservoir where birds flock and magnificent views of Tissa's ancient pristine white Buddhist temples and green mountain ranges come into view at a distance.


The Yala National Park, the ancient shrine of Kataragama, four stupas of Tissamaharama and Bundala Bird Sanctuary are located close by. Tissa's ancient reservoirs and Yodakandiya tank attract many species of birds including cormorant, purple heron, Caspian tern,puple and the painted stork.

Wapi is a newly built, modern holiday bungalow with high roofs, polished cemented floors, open spaces and verandahs that let you take in the surrounding views. Interiors are simple and colorful and are tastefully furnished with ample lounge chairs, colorful cushions, and comfortable beds. Wapi can accommodate upto 12 guests. The bungalow is rented only to one party at a time.


Alankuda Beach

Royal River resort

An ecological and environmentally friendly, harmonious resort built on the banks of the Ing-Oya river. This is a sustainable developmental project encompassing the objectives of eco-tourism.
